Visit my up-to-date page for this plugin
I released my my walker class as a super easy to use plugin (This doesn’t even require you to change your wp_nav_menu commands as it uses a filter to add it). I’ve submitted it to WordPress.org so I’ve linked to it below.
Just install and activate it, and then you can go to a page and mark it as Members Only.
Now featuring full support for wp_page_menu AND wp_nav_menu. Tested on WordPress 2.9+. Also fully compatible with PHP 4+!
I emailed you to confirm, but this issue is now fixed. Upgrade your plugin to 1.5 and you’re good 🙂
One last things, how cool would it be to have the same functionality for blog posts instead of just pages… hint, hint 😉
Brandon, the plug-in is fantastic! It has fixed an issue I had been having with other members only module, and it has fixed the major issues.
However, I’m having a small issue with this one. I keep getting a small white bar that shows up above the main menu whenever a mouse is rolling over it. Once logged in, the issue is gone. I’ve created a username and password for you to see both ways:
http://jbournefamily.com
Username: brandon
Password: xxxx
As a note, my plugin now supports PHP 4!
I’ll not blame you for this choice 🙂
Upgrade is not a possible solution for me, I will find an other way.
Thanks for your answers and your time.
As WordPress has recently announced they will no longer support PHP4, I will not be releasing my plugin as PHP4 compatible. I highly advise you to upgrade to PHP5.
Regards,
-Brandon
Hello,
Same problem here.
Installed :
Wordpress 3.0.1 FR
Members Only Menu Plugin 1.3
but PHP 4 server …
No, that shouldn’t happen. It’s possible I uploaded the wrong version. I fixed the issue with not having menus 🙂
EDIT: I can’t seem to reproduce this. You are using WP 3?
Probably due to the fact that I don’t have menus. 🙂 Oh sigh.
Just tried to activate it with a fully updated WP and got this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/f/e/l/felinius/html/wp-content/plugins/members-only-menu-plugin/members-only-menu.php on line 84
First thing you should do is grab the latest version (I just uploaded 1.2), if that still doesn’t work tell give me a little more info. Are you using WordPress menus (Under appearance).
Bro, it is not working in my site! Kindly assist.
