I just updated one of my more popular plugins, WordPress Access Control. The newest version, 3.0, includes an admin options interface for setting various default values and behaviours. I’ve also added compatibility for posts and custom post types (Directly from the admin interface), and fixed issues with searching. You can now decide to not show members only pages in search results, show only a title with a custom message instead of an excerpt, or show the title and excerpt but require a login for the full article.
In addition to the above changes I added two shortcodes, and for restricting specific content on a page to either members or non-members. Enjoy!
Спасибо за информацию!!!!!
I have WP 3.5.1 and use WPAC 3.1.4 and it works fine until i install WP User Frontend.
I got this: Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_user_logged_in() in ../wp-content/plugins/wordpress-access-control/wordpress-access-control.php on line 774
Your plugin is so nice and i really would like to have both, what can i do??
Hi, the WordPress Access Control successfully secured my site.
However, if someone knows a link to an uploaded file in the site, they are still able to download the file even though the are not logged into WordPress. How do I prevent users who have not been logged into WordPress from downloading a file just because they know the url link to a file?
Thanks
Hi,
I have installed your plugin (WordPress Access Control 3.0.5)
The issue I have is this:
When I publish posts with option:
Only accessible by members? Yes
and specify that only authenticated users can access:
Only Accessible By :
Administrator Yes
Editor Yes
Author Yes
Contributor Yes
Subscriber Yes
By right, only those with valid login should be able to read it,
but in reality anyone could see the post.
Do I have to make default role for new users – Contributor
and specify that all users except Subscriber can access post?
It seems the only option, but I do not understand why plugin is treating unauthenticated users as “Subscribers”.
Please help.
Alex
The problem described above did come from an interference with a bug in the WP-Members plugin that I’m using for member registration and login.
Sorry for bothering you with that problem.
Cheers

Hi Brandon,
I like your plugin a lot. Very useful, in particular the shortcodes.
However, when using a [member] shortcode it only displays the conditional content if user has admin role. This might not be intended (at least I would like it to display for all user roles).
cheers

There are no drafts at the moment
I have disabled it, as I am not aware of how to revert to the old version.
Please advise.
